Nathan Speerbrecker grew up in the suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin with a degree in Theology and served as a Commissioned Lay Minister for 15 years before attending Concordia Seminary. He served in Youth Ministry, Pastoral Care, Preaching, Small Groups and Discipleship, Missions, and Evangelism, in congregations in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
Nathan and Alison have been married for 21 years. Alison is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Masters Degree from Loyola University Chicago. They have 5 kids, Owen, 15; Will, 13; Lucy, 11; Molly, 8; Henry, 6. They love family game nights, outdoor adventures, and going to the zoo.
